Leonardo DiCaprio stars as J. Edgar Hoover in the upcoming Clint Eastwood directed film, J. Edgar. Up until now, there hasn’t been a single image or trailer released for the film, which is kind of odd considering it is scheduled for a release on November 9th of this year. Maybe Eastwood is keeping things on the down low since his last film, Hereafter kind of sucked and didn’t do too well. I’m sort of excited for the film because I think Leonardo DiCaprio is one of the best talents working in Hollywood and the other two leads are usually known for being in good films. I’m one of those rare people that actually dislikes most of Eastwood’s work, so I’m not really excited to see it for his direction, but more for DiCaprio and the rest of the crew.
J. Edgar also stars Josh Lucas and Naomi Watts.
As the face of law enforcement in America for almost 50 years, J. Edgar Hoover was feared and admired, reviled and revered. But behind closed doors, he held secrets that would have destroyed his image, his career and his life.
