Many have been wondering what the fate of James Wan‘s Fast & Furious 7 was, after the tragic death of star Paul Walker. Many weren’t sure how much importance his character was going to have in the seventh entry in Universal’s highest grossing franchise, especially when his character took the backseat in Fast & Furious 6.
Apparently, Walker’s character was very crucial in the seventh film and now that he’s gone they’re going to have to do some serious retooling, to give his character the proper sendoff and to ensure a quality film that’s not rushed or half-assed.
This was always going to be a difficult decision to make, but now it looks like Universal has made it and instead of coming out in summer of 2014, Fast 7 has been shifted to April 10th of 2015.
That should give them enough time to sift through the already-shot footage and to figure out what exactly has to be done to ensure us that Fast & Furious 7 is the best possible Fast movie that they can deliver and one that would make the late Paul Walker proud.
