Universal is putting a lot of effort into marketing their upcoming Fast & Furious entry, starring Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson and the late Paul Walker, among many other talented faces such as newcomers to the series Jason Statham, Kurt Russell and Tony Jaa.
Today, we’ve received a new poster for the film, which comes with the title change Furious 7. For those of you keeping track at home, Fast Five started the series’ odd shift in names, with Fast & Furious 6 supposedly titled Furious 6 originally, before being changed last minute.
Now, Fast & Furious 7 will be titled Furious 7, which hints at the franchise’s possible end or at least a major shift in tone.
I like it, because it does add some emphasis on the change of the series, whether that relates to no more Paul Walker in the series or even the introduction of new characters and crew, such as horror director James Wan taking over directing duties for Justin Lin.
Also, the first trailer is set to debut on Saturday, with the film opening everywhere on April 3rd, 2015.
