Universal’s Fast/Furious series is really starting to shape into something worth anticipating over. Ever since Fast Five exploded on the scene people have been revving their engines for another installment. Usually a series fizzles out around its third or fourth installment, but this one has only been getting better and better.
Well, maybe not better and better, but Fast Five is easily the best of the bunch and I have reason to believe that parts six and seven will hold up well too.
Fast & Furious 6 is scheduled for release in May and now star Vin Diesel has confirmed that the seventh film will begin filming this summer, which means a possible release in 2014. This is somewhat odd, considering that Universal usually pumps these ones out every other year. Here’s the exact quote:
There was an early screening in LA this week of Fast 6. The crowd reaction was surreal… and their demand for the continuation was powerful…
It’s remarkable to think I first embodied this character in 1999… and the evolution continues.
P.s. Filming begins this summer in LA, where it all started… talk about a studio in sync with the audience…
I’m hoping Fast & Furious 6 proves to be just as entertaining as Fast Five, which would mean the series finale part seven could be the best one yet!
