Robert Rodriguez is a busy man right now. He’s currently got the upcoming Machete Kills landing in theaters in September, plus the long-awaited and highly-discussed Sin City sequel, titled Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, which is dropping just a month later in October.
Casting for his Sin City sequel has been all over the place, with Dennis Haysbert replacing the late great Michael Clarke Duncan and of course the confirmation of Mickey Rourke, Jessica Alba and Clive Owen returning.
Now we’ve learned that the following stars have joined the already impressive cast list: Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Josh Brolin, Ray Liotta, Juno Temple and Jeremy Piven.
This is great news! I can only begin to imagine who they’ll be playing and more importantly who will die off in some sort of bloody fashion first.
Sin City was great and I’m almost surprised that Robert Rodriguez is even bothering with a sequel this many years later. I’m glad that he is, but I’m worried that all of these dormant years might lead to some unreachable expectations.
Sin City: A Dame to Kill For opens on October 4th, 2013.
