Ethan Hawke Joins Horror-Thriller Film Written By Film Critic

Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Ethan Hawke has signed on to star in an untitled horror-thriller film that is being directed by Scott Derrickson (The Exorcism of Emily Rose). The film is being produced by Insidious and Paranormal Activity producer, Jason Blum.

What makes this news a bit more important to me is the fact that this film is being co-written by online film critic, C. Robert Cargill. Cargill writes for Aint It Cool News and various other online outlets, but is probably most popular for portraying the animated character Carlyle on Spill.com. I first started reading his stuff on Spill and then I branched off and read some of his other work. He is a really intelligent film critic that isn’t afraid to speak his mind or go against the grain on popular and unpopular movies in Hollywood.

I’m really excited to check out a film that he has written and I hope it ends up good and opens up some doors for him! Cargill is also working on a book, which is something else to look forward to!

As for this untitled film, nothing has been released yet. The film has been kept under some tight wraps. I’m a fan of Ethan Hawke and judging by his great performance in the horror film Daybreakers, I think it is safe to say that he will be a mighty fine choice for this upcoming film.

Check back for more news on this upcoming project as we get it!
