Last year, author Stephen Chbosky wrote and directed the adaptation of his own novel The Perks of Being a Wallflower, featuring excellent performances from the three young leads Logan Lerman, Ezra Miller, and Emma Watson. According to Deadline, Chbosky will reunite with Watson for his next film titled While We’re Young, an adaptation of 29: A Novel by Adena Halpern.

(500) Days of Summer and The Spectacular Now screenwriters Michael H. Weber and Scott Neustadter wrote the script for the film, which centers on a 75-year-old woman who has more in common with her 29-year-old granddaughter than with her 55-year-old daughter. On her birthday, she’s granted her wish to be 29-years-old again for a day. She uses the time to go on an adventure with her granddaughter. It’s expected that Emma Watson will be portraying the 29-year-old version of the central character.

Hopefully this will be different than the typical body-switch films such as Freaky Friday, 13 Going On 30, and The Change-Up. With Stephen Chbosky directing a script from the talented duo Michael H. Weber and Scott Neustadter, this film has a very good chance of turning out to be just as good as their previous efforts.
