Oscar-nominated actress Ellen Page is following in the footsteps of her Whip-It director Drew Barrymore. Page is the latest actress to step off-screen to make her directorial debut feature. The film, titled Miss Stevens, is set to star the underrated Anna Faris as a teacher who chaperones a group of high school students to a drama competition. Along the way, she tries to piece her messy life back together.
It’s a known fact that Ellen Page is an impressive actress. I personally don’t have any doubts that she’ll impress as a director. It will be a little while until production for Miss Stevens begins. Ellen Page has two upcoming projects that are shooting in the very near future. She is set to reprise her role as Kitty Pryde in X-Men Days of Future Past and she also has a role in Peter Sollet’s gay rights drama titled Freeheld.
