Drew Goddard Replaces Damon Lindelof On World War Z Rewrites

The road for World War Z has been a long and frustrating one. The production for the film has been getting worse and worse, with rumors about director Marc Forster having absolutely no control over the film, which makes for an upset Brad Pitt and an even more pissed off studio.

The latest news comes from Deadline, in which their reporting that genre writer Drew Goddard (The Cabin in the Woods) has been hired to replace Damon Lindelof (Prometheus) for rewriting the film’s ending.

This may sound like a hopeful thing, but a messy production is usually almost never able to get pick itself up, even after bringing on more qualified writers and crew.

I’m curious to see what becomes of this film, because as it stands right now it might be the biggest disaster of 2013.
