In some what hopeful news (depending on how you view it), it appears director Tom Six and star of the first Human Centipede, Dieter Laser have seemed to work out their differences. I reported a little while ago that Laser was not on the same page with Six and he left the card for the Final Sequence of the Human Centipede.
Out of this mess, Six had tried to sue Laser for breaching his contract last year and EW reports that they settled their differences and came back together.
The producer has now confirmed to EW that the lawsuit has been dropped and Laser, who memorably portrayed a deranged surgeon in the first film, will play a lead role in the franchise’s third entry. Laser will not, however, play the same character he did in Human Centipede. According to the producer, Laser and Human Centipede 2 star Laurence R. Harvey are set to play a new, villainous duo “with a storyline no one will expect.”
With the way that sounds, I have a feeling Six might try to pull another layer of meta and have Laser and Harvey playing a deranged version of themselves.
As I’ve mentioned, The Human Centipede (Final Sequence) will likely feature a 100+ centipede for your viewing displeasure. Grab your popcorn, its going to get messy!
