Daredevil Is Probably Going To Revert Back To Marvel

Just the other day I posted about The Grey director Joe Carnahan possibly stepping in last minute for Fox to take over the Daredevil reboot that needs to start filming by October 10th, 2012. Things were looking good as Carnahan mentioned his inspiration for the character and where he planned on taking it.

None of that might matter right now, because Carnahan tweeted this the other night:

Think my idea for a certain retro, red-suited, Serpico-styled superhero went up in smoke today kids.

We shall see. Time is NOT on anyone’s side.

Daredevil reverting back to Marvel might not be the worst thing in the world, but I highly doubt that they are willing to give the character it’s much needed R-rating or at least a dark and violent approach. Daredevil could probably work itself out as a PG-13 action flick, but I’m not holding my breath.

I think he’ll sit dormant for a while, much like The Punisher and Blade.

Are you upset about this news? Do you think Carnahan would have made a good director for the reboot?
