Right now J.J. Abrams seems to be the center of the geek world with all of the rumors surrounding Benedict Cumberbatch and who he will actually be playing in Star Trek Into Darkness. The first 9 minutes of the film will be attached to IMAX prints of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, so expect that answer to possibly clear up a bit within the next week.
There’s been confirmation as to what his character’s name is, but people are still in the dark.
One guy that knows how to handle spoilers is director/producer Christopher Nolan. When asked if Joseph Gordon-Levitt was going to appear as Batman at the end of Man of Steel to tie it in with Justice League, Nolan simply responded saying:
“I can’t talk about that. You know that.”
Don’t you love it? He doesn’t totally debunk the rumor, like JGL‘s agents did, but he also doesn’t give us much to work with.
I’m not sure if I’d care much for a JGL Batman, but I would like to see some tie-in stuff starting to happen with Man of Steel and Justice League.
