After spending a few years working on the Dark Knight trilogy, with a break for The Prestige and Inception in between, Christopher Nolan is back on the hunt for a new film to direct, which may be Interstellar. Previously, Steven Spielberg was attached to the script as director, but he has since moved on.
The story is said to involve time travel, alternate dimensions, and worm holes. The script is based on real scientific theories developed by Kip Thorne, a Caltech theoretical physicist. Nolan’s brother Jonathan Nolan wrote the script, who has co-scripted a few of his brother’s directorial efforts, including The Prestige, and the last two Dark Knight movies.
While there is no official deal in place just yet, reports are that talks have been going on for a few months now, and a deal is close to being reached. The film would be a Paramount/Warner Brothers co-production if the deal goes through.
