Chris Pine Will Be A Horrible Boss In ‘Horrible Bosses 2’

Chris Pine

New Line’s sequel to their surprise 2011 comedy hit Horrible Bosses, creatively titled Horrible Bosses 2, has added a new cast member. Variety reports that Chris Pine (Star Trek Into Darkness and Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit) will portray a horrible boss who will surely torment the three comedic leads played by Jason Bateman, Charlie Day, and Jason Sudeikis.

According to First Showing, Pine will be portraying the “younger half of a father-son duo who steal an idea for an invention conceived by the three main characters.” It was reported that Christoph Waltz was in strong consideration for a role but had to turn it down due to a scheduling conflict. It would’ve been interesting to see the potential pairing of Christoph Waltz and Chris Pine, but we’ve already seen Waltz portray a villain too many times.

Sex Drive and That’s My Boy director Sean Anders will be directing from a screenplay by himself and his writing partner John Morris (She’s Out Of My League and Hot Tub Time Machine). The duo recently wrote the screenplay for this summer’s We’re The Millers.

Horrible Bosses 2 will be released on November 26th, 2014. Make sure to check back for more updates as they come our way.
