Fox is busy at work on various X-Men projects. They’ve already confirmed a sequel to the prequel X-Men: First Class as well as a sequel to the origins story titled X-Men Origins: Wolverine. The latter is now being directed by 3:10 to Yuma director James Mangold, after various delays including Darren Aronofsky dropping out from directing duties.
I’ll admit that my excitement went with Aronofsky when he left the production, but that being said I’m almost 100% positive that nothing can be as bad as X-Men: Origins: Wolverine. That was an abomination and there is just no way Fox is going to recreate that disaster all over again. So, at the very least I can see the sequel, titled The Wolverine, being another popcorn flick worthy of summer release.
Plus, it’s always fun seeing Hugh Jackman play Wolverine. I think he’s the perfect fit and the first Wolverine film was hopefully just an accident.
Screen Rant has the scoop on what appears to be the first one-sheet poster for The Wolverine. It was “spotted” in director James Mangold‘s office. I like the simplicity of it and I’m looking forward to Wolverine heading to Japan. Let’s hope it’s a real poster and not some cleverly made Photoshop effort.

The Wolverine is scheduled to open on July 26th, 2013.
