Zack Snyder has been dropping some bombshells on us as of late in an effort to raise some positive awareness in regards to his upcoming film Justice League.
Okay, maybe not bombshells, but he has been revealing more and more information as we inch closer to the film’s eventual releasing.
Just the other day we got a dark look at Ben Affleck‘s latest Batsuit and now today we can finally check out (and confirm) JK Simmons‘ involvement in the film, which is playing that of Commissioner Gordon.
Gordon is quite possibly one of the most important characters in the Batman universe and a character that Gary Oldman basically made iconic in Christopher Nolan‘s Dark Knight trilogy.
That fact alone has me approaching Snyder’s vision with caution, yet the casting of Simmons has helped ease the worry.
Simmons is a fantastic actor with an incredible amount of range. He’s no stranger to comic book movies either, having played J. Jonah Jameson in Sam Raimi‘s Spider-Man series.
Simmons should make for the perfect Gordon. He’s definitely got the look (based on the new photo below) and I think he can bring whatever is required to the role.
Will he end up being another funny man or do you think Snyder will have him going for a more emotional role, similar to Oldman’s?
