Michael Bay‘s Transformers: Age of Extinction opens up in regular format theaters this summer as well as IMAX. One thing I always love about Bay movies is the fact that they’re loaded from start-to-finish with explosions and action that usually looks and sounds better when viewed on a larger format.
IMAX seems to be the format created for Bay and his general line of work. The only kicker is that he doesn’t always film using IMAX cameras, so most of the time things are cropped and resized for the large-screen format.
Still, they tend to look better on the bigger screen.
Up above is an IMAX poster for his latest Transformers film and while it doesn’t show us much, it does give us a general sense of scope and sizing of the metal beasts that will surely be blowing up each other come June 27th.
Will you be seeing this one in IMAX 3D?
