Cameron Crowe’s We Bought A Zoo Trailer

Cameron Crowe‘s latest film, We Bought a Zoo sounds like a sappy and cheesy human drama on paper, but the trailer really sells its heart. The film is about a father who moves his family into a zoo in hopes of re-opening the zoo and maybe re-starting their lives. In the hands of any less talented director I’m sure the film would end up as a middle of the road family drama that’s serviceable to the right crowd but forgettable to the rest, but We Bought a Zoo looks like it might be something different thanks to Mr. Crowe.

I’m not counting down the days to see it or anything, but it does look like a nice film to help break up the usually thick and depressing atmosphere that some fall movies bring. Sometimes you just need to escape all the gritty stuff and just enjoy something calm and lovable like this. Matt Damon and Scarlett Johansson are usually reliable in these types of films and Thomas Haden Church looks to be lending a hand in the supporting roles category.

We Bought a Zoo opens on December 23rd, 2011, just in time for a feel good Christmas movie.

This holiday season, acclaimed filmmaker Cameron Crowe (Jerry Maguire, Almost Famous) directs an amazing and true story about a single dad who decides his family needs a fresh start, so he and his two children move to the most unlikely of places: a zoo. With the help of an eclectic staff, and with many misadventures along the way, the family works to return the dilapidated zoo to its former wonder and glory.
