After taking a short hiatus from acting after strong appearances in 50/50 opposite Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Seth Rogen and the Oscar-nominated film The Help, Bryce Dallas Howard is making her return. According to The Wrap, Howard is in early negotiations to star in Universal’s Jurassic World.
Safety Not Guaranteed director Colin Trevorrow will directing the sequel, which he wrote with his frequent collaborator Derek Connolly. It’s been heavily speculated that the film will be shot in 3D and will feature underwater dinosaurs.
As a huge fan of the first two Jurassic Park films (I try to forget the third film exists), I really hope Trevorrow doesn’t screw this up. With the potential casting of Bryce Dallas Howard, it looks like casting is underway which ultimately means this is finally becoming a reality. It’s currently unclear if any of the characters from the first three films will make an appearance.
Jurassic World will make its way to theaters on June 12th, 2015. Make sure to check back for more updates as they come our way.
