Bridget Jones 3 Loses Paul Feig

Paul Feig, beloved writer, showrunner, and actor, has been making a name for himself as one of the best comedy directors around.  After the lingering success of his failed show Freaks and Geeks, he has been directing such comedy hits for TV as The Office, Nurse Jackie, and Bored to Death.

This summer he broke out of the TV mold finally with the unexpected hit Bridesmaids, and shortly thereafter was announced as the director for the third installment of the Bridget Jones movie series.

Today it’s being reported by /Film that Feig has officially dropped out of the project, with no announcements yet on future plans.  Most of Feig’s fans agree this is the move they’d like to see, although all are unsure of what he may do next.  A sequel to Bridesmaids?  (It’s been rumored).  A reboot of an old franchise that people know?  (As Feig has mentioned?)  As soon as we hear it, we’ll bring it to you.
