Apple Co-Founder Steve Jobs Dead at 56

In unfortunate news today, Reuters is reporting that Apple Co-Founder and longtime visionary Steve Jobs has passed away after a long battle with pancreatic cancer.  Jobs had recently stepped down as Apple CEO to let the company learn to grow without his presence.

Unfortunately for fans of the iPod and iPhone innovator, his cancer seemingly took a turn for the worse today, and Jobs lost his hard-fought battle with cancer.  Considered one of the most innovative CEO’s of our time, Jobs has a long list of accomplishments to recognize from his early days in a garage with Bill Gates and Steve Wozniak when they invented the concept of the personal home computer, and each  went their own way in changing the world.

Jobs is the main person credited with making Apple the second most valuable company in the United States behind Exxon Mobile, mostly due to his innovations the iPod, the iPhone, iTunes, and the Apple app market.
