What is one of the things that seems to be static all throughout the Bond movies? The fast cars, the cool gadgets, the women with obvious sexual innuendo names? Well, all of that, but there is always something that sort of sets the tone of the movie: The opening credits theme.
Yes, the two to three minutes usually after a thrilling opening scene that is accompanied by silhouettes of women, guns, and bullets. A few stars have been honored with singing the movie theme, and this time, it just got bigger.
Six time Grammy winner, and British sensation, Adele will be projecting the theme of Skyfall through her surgically reconstructed vocal chords. She will join the list of artists who have been featured in the opening credits from the likes of Chris Cornell, Madonna, Duran Duran, Louis Armstrong, and Sir Paul McCartney.
For Adele fans, this is pretty cool. You get to hear your favorite singer with content that will probably not be about a bad break up.
I for one can never really get into the opening credits. Yes, they look cool and whatnot, but I just want to get to the action. They drag on too long. But hey, the song could turn out to be pretty good. We’ll just have to wait and see.
Are you interested in Adele singing? Or do you just not give a shit? Let us know!
Oh yeah, here is a new poster too.
