Word around the street lately has been the beginning production of Adam McKay’s desired sequel to his 2004 hit comedy, Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy. The new flick is respectively called Anchorman: The Legend Continues.
We have heard a few names being tossed around in the mix for spots in the latest Will Ferrell comedy. Last month, McKay confirmed Bridesmaids star Kristen Wiig as a part of the new cast.
While that is exciting itself, we also have heard rumors of Step Brothers co-star John C. Reilly possibly in the mix. A casting call was sent out last week in Atlanta, where Anchorman 2 is being shot, asking for someone who looks like John C. Reilly. I haven’t found any confirmation on the significance of his role, but it seems more than likely that he will at least pop up.
Last but not least, Harrison Ford has appeared on set and is ready to deliver some hard-hitting news. This wouldn’t be Fords first run as a TV anchor, starring as Mike Pomeroy in 2010’s Morning Glory.
Already with three big names joining Steve Carell, David Koechner, Paul Rudd, and Will Ferrell on the big screen this December. Are you ready for this, San Diego?
