While we patiently await the final entry into the 3 Flavors Ice Cream Trilogy (because of the Cornetto ice cream eaten in the films), Simon Pegg hasn’t slacked for a moment, appearing in Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol, Star Trek 2 (still shooting), and the delightfully insane A Fantastic Fear of Everything.
The story is:
“Jack is a children’s author turned crime novelist whose detailed research into the lives of Victorian serial killers has turned him into a paranoid wreck, persecuted by the irrational fear of being murdered. When Jack is thrown a life-line by his long-suffering agent and a mysterious Hollywood executive takes a sudden and inexplicable interest in his script, what should be his big break rapidly turns into his big breakdown, as Jack is forced to confront his worst demons; among them his love life, his laundry and the origin of all fear.”
I know it almost sounds a little like HBO‘s Bored to Death, but if the trailer is any indication, it’s sure to be much more insane than that. The film is based on a screenplay by Crispian Mills, who co-directed the film with his production designer Chris Hopewell. It hits theaters in the UK on June 8th, we’ll keep you updated when we learn the date of the US release, hopefully not too long after.
