2 Teaser Trailers For Star Trek Into Darkness

We’re inch closer and closer to the IMAX release of Peter Jackson‘s The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, which is set to debut 9 minutes of J.J. AbramsStar Trek Into Darkness. Now we’ve been greeted with two new teaser trailers.

The first being the US release and the second being the Japanese release, which is mostly the same, but shows off a little more Benedict Cumberbatch at the end. He’s playing the bad guy in this one, but nothing has been confirmed as to who he is exactly playing. Most fingers are pointing towards Khan at this point and I wouldn’t be inclined to argue that.

Do you like either of them? Are you anticipating this movie at all? I’m still mostly undecided, because while I enjoyed Star Trek a lot, part of it felt like a rare fluke that was the result of good timing and the right mood. I’d love for the sequel to be just as big and loud and fun, but I’m already seeing early warning signs that are pointing in a negative direction.

Please prove me wrong Abrams.

Star Trek Into Darkness opens in 3D on May 17th, 2013.
