Zombies May Be Back For Edgar Wright’s ‘The World’s End’

Things seem to go full circle in the world (‘s end) of Edgar Wright. His “Three Cornetto” trilogy began with the cleverly written zombie comedy Shaun of the Dead, and it looks like he will wrap up the trio (Hot Fuzz being the 2nd movie) with a little more undead in his latest film, The World’s End.

As you may know, The World’s End will be a pub-crawl flick with our favorite British duo Simon Pegg and Nick Frost teaming up once more. Thanks to a couple tweets from actress Courtney Cornfield, she let out some deets (that’s details. Keep up with me, folks) of her being a zombie for the movie.

Now, we don’t really know what that fully indicates yet. It could be actual zombies in the plot, or it could just be a zombie pub-crawl. But it is nice to see what could be a call back to Shaun of the Dead. Now it makes me wonder if we will see any hints of Hot Fuzz somewhere in there.

Zombies or not, I am excited for anything Edgar Wright puts out. I have yet to see a bad movie that was put in his hands. Scott Pilgrim was a really fun and fresh comic adaptation that was pretty damn creative, and Shaun of the Dead/Hot Fuzz are both great movies with spot on British comedy and plenty of blood.
