I can’t believe that we are living a world where the latest Zack Snyder flick isn’t gathering all sorts of ooooos and ahhhhs.
Visionary director Zack Snyder is making a Batman VERSUS Superman flick and yet audiences still aren’t excited.
Sure, Snyder’s Man of Steel wasn’t exactly the most faithful adaption of Superman, but it worked on enough levels to warrant the least bit of interest in a sequel.
Yeah, he sort of pushed the sequel to the side and developed Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice — which is going to introduce us to a new Batman (played by Ben Affleck) and the upcoming Justice League.
But these are all good things that will hopefully lead into greatness.
The plan all along has been BvS, followed by Justice League – Part 1 and then more JL character movies, plus Part 2 and so on.
Yet people have been worried that the marketing might’ve changed WB and Snyder’s mind and now we have a direct quote from the man, confirming that he’s still going to be directing Part 1 and that the Justice League is still going to happen.
“The idea that we could begin to boot up a Justice League concept was a cool thing…It was a little bit of an ‘about time’ moment, and I don’t blame [the studio] for feeling that way, because it’s a long time coming,” he said. “But I do feel like it’s a little bit of a creative hurdle. It seems like an easy thing to do at first glance, the idea that, ‘Oh, we just get the rest of the superheroes in there.’ But you have to [establish] a world where they can exist.”
