Queued up for the Weekend: Django Unchained

Django Unchained

Django Unchained is a fun, violent, and thrilling movie and exactly what you should watch this weekend! Django Unchained is the move you should watch on Netflix this weekend for no other reason than it is monsterously entertaining every way you slice it. The acting in this movie is superb. Jamie Foxx, Leonardo DiCaprio, Christoph Waltz, Samuel L. Jackson; the characters they play and the way they portray them is masterfully done and their performance linger. I haven’t experienced that kind of movie in a while, so it is time for a refresher.

Django Unchained is a bit long, at 2 hours and 45 minutes and I can say it felt exactly that long, this is by no means a short movie. Honestly, Django Unchained feels like 2 stories, almost like a prequel and a sequel fused together.

Now I like Quintin Tarantino movies, but I understand that not everyone does. If you don’t like his films, stay away because this is a quintessential Tarantino movie. Django Unchained has all of the violence, insanity, and fast paced story line of most every other Tarantino movie.

So with that, we begin another new segment on The Daily Rotation. Every Friday I will post my recommendation for what to watch on Netflix over the weekend. I wanted to start this series because I found myself wondering to watch on Netflix over the weekend and I don’t believe I am alone in that thought process. So stay tuned every week to see what you should watch on Netflix. This week, Django Unchained got the recommendation because it is such a great film, but next week who knows! Maybe something awesome will arrive over the weekend or maybe something awesome is about to leave the Netflix catalog. Maybe a movie is in the news and it also happens to be on Netflix. The reasoning for our recommendation will change every week, but what you can be certain is that we will have something for your weekend.
