‘Terminator: Genisys’ Gets PG-13 Rating

I don’t think that this is much of a surprise or anything, but the MPAA has officially rated Terminator: Genisys PG-13.

Most were wondering what this entry in the long-running Terminator franchise would be rated and which audience it would be geared towards and now we know.

I was sort of hoping deep down that they would’ve learned from McG‘s Terminator Salvation PG-13 mistake, which he ended up correcting with an R-rated director’s cut later for Blu-ray, but I guess these guys will never understand that Terminator works primarily as an adult-oriented series.

Early buzz for Genisys has been pretty awful, with most claiming that it simply tries and tries to copy and steal from the first two films, without ever establishing its own presence in the Terminator timeline.

That’s unfortunate, because I’ve always been a big fan of the series and have been hoping for a good film.
