We’ve already got one Steve Jobs biopic under our belt, so why not make room for another?
This time, it’ll be directed by Danny Boyle (Slumdog Millionare, Trainspotting) and scripted by Aaron Sorkin (The Social Network, Moneyball).
Steve Jobs stars Michael Fassbender as the titular character, picking up the performance from Christian Bale. The film also co-stars Seth Rogen, Kate Winslet and Jeff Daniels.
I’m not even sure if I’m sold on Fassbender’s interpretation of Jobs, yet this first teaser trailer has me absolutely mesmerized.
I believe that Boyle and Sorkin will turn out an amazing film from a script/directing standpoint and Fassbender has yet to disappoint in terms of performances, which already makes Steve Jobs a slam dunk and more anticipated than the last film, titled Jobs.
I will give Ashton Kutcher credit for doing his best, but that film lacked not from performances, but from its direction and writing.
Important figures often get short-handed when their stories are translated to film, due to whatever reasoning behind hiring a cheap director or writer with little experience.
Steve Jobs will hopefully change all of that.
The film opens this October.
