‘Suicide Squad’ Is Getting An Extended Cut On Blu-Ray

There was a lot of fuss back in August when David Ayer‘s Suicide Squad dropped into theaters. Lots of talk surrounded Ayer’s lack of directorial control over the film, with WB sticking their fingers in his project to ensure a proper vision for the future of the DC cinematic universe.

I’m not sure how much (if any) of that is true, especially since Ayer took to Twitter like a genius and claimed that the theatrical cut is his director’s cut.

I’m not sure how much of that was him trying to keep a steady paycheck or the honest truth.

Regardless, an extended cut is coming to Blu-ray later this year, which means we might finally get to see some of that skipped over, but used heavily — footage.

Will that make the film much better? Probably not, but maybe so.
