Stephen King’s ‘It’ Remake To Be Two R-Rated Films

Stephen King‘s killer clown It might be one of the horror writer’s most memorable characters that was adapted to film in a messy manner, but that hasn’t stopped Hollywood from wanting to remake it.

The latest scoop on the film (or should I say films?) is that It will be an R-rated two-parter, coming from Annabelle writer Gary Dauberman, who is re-working Cary Fukunaga‘s draft.

Mama director Andy Muschietti is set to direct both films, which has me terrified.

The absence of Fukunaga has obviously curved most expectations for this series to be of any value, but now the inclusion of Dauberman and Muschietti have me to the point of not even interested.

Mama was a terrible horror film that felt directionless, while Annabelle faired slightly better, but no thanks to its writing efforts.

I really hope this version of It finds something special to explore, otherwise we’ll just have to settle for the original films.
