Quentin Tarantino is an incredible filmmaker. He’s also one that has been known to take his sweet time in between films. Usually, we have a 3 to 4 year wait in between motion pictures from the legend, but now it looks like he’s almost done with the scripting process of his latest film, which the director revealed on Jay Leno‘s The Tonight Show, is going to be another Western.
Hold on a second. We need to realize that Tarantino uses the word Western very loosely. He once described Inglourious Basterds as a Western and while Django Unchained is definitely more of a Western than Basterds, I’d even call that stretching it, because it’s not exactly the most conventional Western.
Still, it looks like he’s planning on sticking to that genre for now or at least that’s what he wants us to think. Tarantino has been known for shifting and shaping projects as he goes, often jumping back and forth between them.
So, I wouldn’t take this as concrete news, but I’d still keep that thought in the back of your head for now.
