Unfortunately, Dreamworks is at it again. This time, like every other time, they are trying to suck as much out of a franchise as possible. First it was the Shrek series and now they have produced a spin off from that. They took the little pesky cat, Puss, and gave him his own movie called none other than Puss In Boots. Pretty original huh? I thought so. Next thing we know we are going to have Dreamworks making some reality movie about Donkey and the stupid dragon. You’ve been warned…
Honestly, when I worked at the drive-in movie theater I didn’t mind seeing the first couple Shrek movies, but then I felt like they just got a little bit over the top. They should have stopped after the first one, they were okay with the second one, but the ones that followed were pointless.
This new trailer for Puss In Boots didn’t really make me laugh. There was one occasion in it that make me smile, but that’s about it. If you thought they were stretching before, wait until this movie comes out. It’s going to bring in a decent amount of money, just you watch.
Puss In Boots is directed by Chris Miller (Shrek the Third) and features the voices of Antonio Banderas, Salma Hayek, Zack Galifianakis, Billy Bob Thornton and Amy Sedaris. It will be opening on November 4th, 2011. Until then check out the trailer and the synopsis below, via Yahoo.
Puss In Boots – one of the most beloved characters of the Shrek universe – tells the hilarious and courageous (daring, bold, brave) tale of Puss’s (Antonio Banderas) early adventures as he teams with mastermind Humpty Dumpty (Zach Galifianakis) and the street-savvy Kitty (Salma Hayek) to steal the famed Goose that lays the Golden Eggs.
