I haven’t seen or heard a thing about Project X until now. If you would have asked me about it, I would have been confused as all hell because I didn’t think a movie would be titled Project X. However now that we are a couple of months away from the theatrical release Warner Bros. has released a full length trailer.
I didn’t necessarily think that the trailer was hilarious, however I felt like this could actually be good. I might be insane for thinking that but it’s true. It could be a lot of fun watching something literally spiral way the fuck out of control. Seriously, how the hell do you go from having a party of 100 to having a block party where there is a guy with a flamethrower and a SWAT team. A guy with a flamethrower, really? Well you got my attention. Granted Project X could absolutely be terrible. Guess we’ll find out when it hits theaters in a couple of months.
It’s directed by Nima Nourizadeh and produced by Todd Phillips, the man behind The Hangover I & II, Due Date and Old School.
Project X drops into theaters on March 2nd, 2012.
“Project X” follows three seemingly anonymous high school seniors as they attempt to finally make a name for themselves. Their idea is innocent enough: let’s throw a party that no one will forget… but nothing could prepare them for this party. Word spreads quickly as dreams are ruined, records are blemished and legends are born. “Project X” is a warning to parents and police everywhere. This film has been rated R for crude and sexual content throughout, nudity, drugs, drinking, pervasive language, reckless behavior and mayhem-all involving teens.
