Paramount has released a new trailer for Paranormal Activity 3, there new flagship horror series and it looks like Catfish directors Henry Joost and Ariel Shulman have made another stinker. The first Paranormal film managed to be kind of spooky because of how the director managed to implement everyday effects like door slams and blanket movement into something tense, but the prequel decides to make it all one big joke.
I don’t know how anyone could not laugh after watching this latest trailer. It takes all of those so called “tense” moments from the first two films and adds an extreme layer of cheese. I’m wondering how much wire they used during production of Paranormal Activity 3 because it looks like just about everyone is getting tossed around. There is one thing I enjoyed about this new trailer and that was the feeling of knowing that I won’t (hopefully) have to see that horrible teaser trailer anymore. It’s playing in front of every damn movie these days.
Paranormal Activity 3 opens in theaters on October 21st, 2011.
