I’m a man who loves himself some Pokemon. That’s just the lifestyle that I choose to represent, along with many other people who understand what a great show Gargoyles was. And while I do still love the Pokemon series, it has become rather stale in recent entries (and by recent entries, I mean every entry since 2003’s Ruby and Sapphire that wasn’t a remake). Not only that, but there was just beginning to be too many of the damn things…a grand total of 649 pokemon exist with Pokemon Black and White, the latest entries in Nintendo‘s long-running series.
And now, just like that, there’s about to be plenty more with the upcoming Pokemon X and Y versions (with a Z version probably being the third, thereby emphasising the 3D features of the 3DS). It’s looking like a pretty nice change of pace so far. For the first time in the history of the series, you have a slight choice regarding what your character looks like. From what I can tell, you can choose between a white character, a white character with a different hair color, and a not white character. It’s not a whole lot of customization, but hey, progress is progress and I’ll take it. You can also customize what outfit your hero or heroine is wearing, but very little light has been shed on just how deep that rabbit hole goes. There’s also Mewthree. Without further ado, enjoy the newest trailer for Pokemon X and Y versions, which are coming out this October.
