Moneyball Trailer

Sony has released a trailer for the upcoming film, Moneyball. I will admit that after I read a quick summary of the film I honestly thought it sounded quite boring, but then I noticed that it was written by Aaron Sorkin, who was the man responsible for writing last year’s hit, The Social Network.

With Sorkin’s name on the project and Brad Pitt, Philip Seymour Hoffman and Jonah Hill starring I figured that I should at least give the trailer a shot. I did and I am now somewhat excited for the film. It looks like a solid story with some good performances, especially by Jonah Hill. This could be the breakout role he has been waiting for and what better way than to do it alongside Brad Pitt!

Moneyball will be hitting theaters on September 23rd, 2011.

Check out the official trailer below followed by a brief synopsis of the film.

The story of Oakland A’s general manager Billy Beane’s successful attempt to put together a baseball club on a budget by employing computer-generated analysis to draft his players.
