Jennifer Lawrence Joins David O. Russell’s Next Film

Oh David O. Russell and how I have a love-hate relationship with you and your films. The Fighter is still one of my favorites of 2010, but Silver Linings Playbook on the other hand is one of the biggest disappointments of 2012 in my eyes and each time I see it on the weekend box office chart I have to struggle with holding in my food.

It’s such a borderline horrible film that I cannot support and seeing it gather so many Oscar nominations and general recognition is sickening.

O. Russell is bringing his star Jennifer Lawrence along with him to join his next untitled project, which also features Bradley Cooper, Amy Adams, Jeremy Renner, Christian Bale and Louis C.K.

Here’s a synopsis:

The Untitled David O. Russell Project is based on the true story of a notorious financial con artist (Bale) and his mistress/partner in crime (Adams), who were forced to work with an out of control federal agent (Cooper) to turn the tables on other con artists, mobsters, and politicians. At the epicenter of the entire tale, is the passionate and volatile leader of the New Jersey state assembly (Renner) who is also the local hero and mayor of impoverished Camden.
