James Wan Will Be Directing ‘Aquaman’

James Wan has had a very successful career these past few years. He changed the horror landscape with the likes of Saw, Insidious and The Conjuring and then he jumped genre ships and tried his luck with Furious 7.

All films have been overly successful, granting Wan the pick of the litter on his next project or two.

One of those projects is going to be DC and WB’s Aquaman, which stars Jason Momoa as the titular character that is rumored to appear in the upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

It looks like filming is set to start sometime late next year, with a 2018 release date planned. Wan is also set to film The Conjuring 2 this fall, which makes him yet again a very busy man.

I’m both excited and happy for Wan. He’s great with action and obviously horror and I think the superhero sub-genre is something that he’ll excel in even more. Plus, he’s getting his name out there in big ways.
