Halloween is one of those iconic franchises that for some reason has had lots of trouble getting a reboot/sequel.
Rob Zombie‘s take on the series was the last time we had any sort of Michael Myers terrorize a town or group of people.
There was talks of a Halloween 3D, but those eventually fell threw.
Now, Dimension has lost the rights and the popular horror production company Blumhouse (Insidious, Paranormal Activity) has scooped up the rights and plan on working on a film ASAP.
Also, they’re bringing in original director John Carpenter to help “oversee” the film and maybe even score it.
We have no idea who is going to direct the film just yet, but I’m sure we’ll be finding that out very soon.
