Just the other day someone asked me about the status of Nicholas Stoller‘s Neighbors sequel, titled Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising, which brings back Seth Rogen, Rose Byrne and Zac Efron.
And now today we’ve got a first-look trailer, plus a poster.
This time, the film pits the “old folks” aka Rogen and Byrne up against a new sorority, led by Chloe Grace Moretz. Of course, Rogen and Byrne haven’t a clue as to what to do, so they call in Zac Efron for a little help.
Honestly, Neighbors was sometimes funny at best, passing as a decent comedy on its star power alone, but the box office Gods were rather kind to the film, which is why a sequel exists.
The first trailer is slightly amusing, but most of the gags didn’t register for me. I’m not sure if that’s because the new premise doesn’t seem all that funny to begin with or if I’m just bitter at the fact that Neighbors is getting a sequel when it doesn’t really need one.
