Ridley Scott‘s latest film, Prometheus is currently still filming, but that hasn’t stopped them from giving us a sneak peak at the production. 20th Century Fox is set to be bringing Prometheus to Comic-Con 2011 in some way shape or form and this new image already has me wanting more!
I’m really digging the image. It reminds me a lot of Alien and that is exactly what we need right now, a dark, creepy sci-fi film with a strong cast and a talented veteran behind the lens. I hope Scott stays more with practical effects opposed to CGI. I hate when directors get lazy and try and change their methods. The original Alien is still one of the scariest films of all times and that relies heavily on practical effects. There’s just something about a real spacecraft with real set pieces. You just can’t replicate that with computer effects.
Prometheus stars Michael Fassbender, Charlize Theron, Noomi Rapace, Guy Pearce and Idris Elba. It will be released on June 1st, 2012.
