Just last week The CW released their official synopsis for their upcoming spin off of Arrow and The Flash, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow. Well, now they have released the first official trailer. The show will feature actors that we have already seen in the Arrow Universe such as – Victor Garber (half of Firestorm) Brandon Routh (Ray Palmer/The Atom), Caity Lotz (Sara Lance/Canary) and Wentworth Miller (Captain Cold). However there will be a slew of fresh faces like Ciara Renee (Hawkgirl), Franz Drameh (Jay Jackson) and Arthur Darvill (Rip Hunter).
If you watch Arrow, you might be asking yourself how they are going to bring back Caity Lotzs’ character from the dead. In the trailer they briefly show how this is possible. Of course, it is Arrow and it should be a given how they do it but I still don’t quite understand the timeline to when she was brought back. Check it out in the trailer.
Hawkgirl: “A girl with wings and a past lives complex”
White Canary: “A deceased assassin.”
Captain Cold and Heat Wave: “A pair of criminals.”
The Atom: “A billionaire with more than than he clearly knows what to do with.”
Firestorm: Martin Stein, who says “I’m half a hero, and my other half is combustible.”
Rip Hunter: “I’m from Easy London. And the future.” Keep in mind that Rip is partially in charge of protecting the history and the person who put together the team.
Vandal Savage: An immortal enemy who’s been alive for thousands of years and commands the biggest army in the world.
Personally, like I stated before, I am a big fan of both Arrow and The Flash. I’m excited to see DC Comics moving forward with the universe however I’m still not exactly sure how this one will turn out. This trailer makes me feel like I just watched a terrible movie trailer. I’m sure I will watch it and give the show a try but I just don’t know about it. We’ll see. Let us know in the comments below if the trailer did anything to get your attention.
According to the official synopsis, “When heroes alone are not enough…the world needs legends. Having seen the future, one he will desperately try to prevent from happening, time-traveling rogue Rip Hunter is tasked with assembling a disparate group of both heroes and villains to confront an unstoppable threat — one in which not only is the planet at stake, but all of time itself. Can this ragtag team defeat an immortal threat unlike anything they have ever known?”
