With Amy Schumer in the leading role and Bill Hader in a supporting role, the cast of Judd Apatow’s next film is already promising. Now, according to Variety, the cast just got a bit more promising. Brie Larson (The Spectacular Now and Short Term 12) is in final talks for a role in the comedy.
Even though most reports indicate that the plot is being kept under wraps, some plot details initially emerged when the project was first announced way back when. The comedy centers on a basket case trying to rebuild her life with her boyfriend, best friend and parent in tow. It’s safe to assume that Hader will portray the boyfriend, and Larson seems like the candidate for Schumer’s best friend.
Apatow will be directing from a script written by Schumer. With Schumer, Hader, and now Larson, I have a feeling that this will be anything but what the title suggests.
Trainwreck will arrive in theaters on July 24th, 2015. Make sure to check back for more updates as they come our way.
