It just wouldn’t be a Comic-Con without one extended look at WB/DC’s most-hyped film since, well probably Suicide Squad.
Sure, Batman v Superman disappointed some and wasn’t quite the end-all superhero film that most thought it was going to be, but it did open up the doors for the likes of Suicide Squad, Wonder Woman and now of course Justice League.
Zack Snyder‘s team-up film doesn’t drop into theaters until November of next year, but that doesn’t mean we can’t have a look at what he has shot so far.
My initial reactions are as follows:
WOAH! THEY GOT IT RIGHT!!!
Snyder has wisely learned from the negative feedback received after BvS sort of established that audiences need a little hope, a little humor and some optimism in their superhero mash-ups.
I enjoyed the darker and more gritty look at the superhero world in Batman v Superman, but I would be lying if I said I didn’t instantly get excited for Justice League after watching this much more popping and lighter-approached trailer.
I like that Batman seems to actually have a sense of humor and I like that they somehow made Aquaman look cool.
Wonder Woman already had that going for her, while Cyborg and The Flash both bring promise.
Will this film work because of Ben Affleck‘s Bruce Wayne and his relationship with each individual or will Snyder be able to bring them all together for a true team-up film?
Time will tell.
