Anthony’s Weekly Blu-ray’s: August 23-29

Hello, all. Welcome to another Week of Anthony’s Weekly Blu-Rays. I’m Wilson (logically). I will bring you the latest news on all the hot Blu-Ray releases this Tuesday. Buckle up for another adventurous ride of Anthony’s Weekly Blu-Rays (hosted by Wilson).

One of the new releases will be Jodie Foster’s The Beaver. I can only assume its about Jodie Foster’s sexual life, but I have been proven wrong before. Apparently The Beaver is about Mel Gibson who is a  very depressed person who lost himself only to be found by some branch of mental retardation where he believes a beaver puppet is some sort of motivational living being. It makes Radio look genuinely sophisticated. This will be a single disc release so don’t get your hopes up for jam packed special features. It’s a fucking puppet!

Up next we have Win Win starring Paul Giamatti. Giamatti plays a gloomy lawyer who gets a job as a high school wrestling coach. He then finds a sense of well being when he mentors a troubled teenage runaway into a half decent wrestler. Win Win is a single disc Blu-Ray with a few special features thrown in there.

Other new releases this week include Troll Hunter which is about a group of students studying mysterious bear killings stumbling upon a greater discovery, that of a Troll Hunter. We also have Henry’s Crime featuring Keanu Reeves and Morgan Spurlock’s latest exploitation film, The Greatest Movie Ever Sold all coming to you on single disc Blu-Ray.

That’s not it, folks! We also have the catalog titles. Yes, the ones that were on DVD for years now, finally making their debut to Blu-Ray!

Finally heading on to Blu-Ray is Hostage starring Bruce Willis and Ben Foster. Hostage is a fantastic movie with Bruce Willis as a hostage negotiator trying to deal with three hostile teenagers who take over a multi-million dollar house. This will be coming to you, once again, on a single disc Blu-Ray.

That’s not it! We also have Rounders, starring Matt Damon and Ed Norton and Swingers with Jon Favreau and Vince Vaughn coming your way on single disc Blu Ray. Finally we have Bambi II, which I am sure is an Anthony favorite, making its way to Blu-Ray with 2 disc set (BD and DVD) all secured nicely in a beautiful slipcover to fit with the rest of your Disney collection.

Don’t forget to check out the box art below in the fancy new image table we have down there! Its fun and convenient!

Well, that will be all for me today. Be sure to check out some of your favorite titles from this list and stay tuned for more updates on the latest Blu-Ray releases coming to a store near you. As always, this is Anthony Wilson with Anthony’s Weekly Blu-Rays
