4 Mins Of ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’ All But Makes Up For ‘The First Avenger’

I really didn’t care for Captain America: The First Avenger. It’s no secret that I generally prefer DC adaptations over Marvel and that’s especially true with Marvel’s Phase One, which included Captain America: The First Avenger. The way they captured one of the most boring comic book characters of all-time rubbed me the wrong way and was only made slightly better with The Avengers.

But now we’ve got Captain America: The Winter Soldier to look forward to and if you want me to be completely honest then I’ll just come out and say that this looks like a major improvement.

Thor: The Dark World was better than the already awesome Thor and Guardians of the Galaxy is looking like a breath of fresh air. The Winter Soldier looks like a modern take on the character, with a close tie in to current hot topics trending in the world and also a great lead into The Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Check out four minutes from the film below and also know that Captain America 3 (with Cap. 2 directors Joe and Anthony Russo returning) is confirmed for May 6th, 2016, which is the same day that WB plans on releasing their untitled Batman vs. Superman film. Talk about a hot dose of confidence over at Marvel.
